I Heart Tooshies!

This week at i ♥ faces, they are changing it up a bit and featuring booties!! I don't mean the booties you wear on your feet when it's cold, I mean butts, aka "bum", aka "fanny", aka "derriere", aka "tooshie", aka "ba donk a donk", aka "junk in the trunk", aka "moneymaker", aka "glutemus maximus"...you get the point!

I Heart Sun Flared Faces!

Capturing sun flare in a photo it not as easy as it looks. I have gotten a few "lucky" shots when I wasn't trying...but, to try and capture a good flare involve many maneuvers (all of which I cannot mention here- hee hee)! At I ♥ Faces this week, the task was to capture not only a face, but a sun flare, oh so perfect. The funny thing is when I stopped trying to get a perfect shot...everything fell into place. I snapped at least four worthy pics when taking Teage to the park. It was just before the sun was going down while we were waiting for JD to finish his skate party across the street. I actually had to toy with choosing just one. Sun Flare Rocks....

I Heart Faces...Autumn Beauty!

As explained earlier, I am infatuated with experiencing our first real "FALL" in so many years. I seized the opportunity to post another photo of my oldest handsome boy goofing with the leaves for the I ♥ Faces post this week. The maple leaf is kinda moonlighting as a mask, covering the bottom half of his face, but his eyes tell the story well enough on their own. Hopefully it will dry up over here soon so I can throw them back out into the brush...hee hee.

I Heart Faces...in costume!

With the move and being in Internet rehab, I have missed out on doing the I ♥ Faces contests. But, there was no better way to get back on the horse than with this week's theme...Halloween Dress-Up!! Are you kidding? This was made for me. I ♥ Halloween and all that goes with it, including seeing swarms of little children in their best get-up of the year. This picture is from last year's Halloween. I snapped this at my son's preschool. I love how NONE of the kids are looking at the camera because they all have something going on at the same time. I can't wait to see this year's little rugrats...

I was featured on the I ♥ Faces website today under the inspiration spotlight post. What a gas!!! I wonder if they realize that I am just a mere picture snapper with no mad skills?? Oh well, it sure was cool to get the props either way. Check it out...

I Heart Faces...on the Beach

This week, I ♥ Faces is doing a beach theme. I chose a shot of my Teagie and his first time in the East China Sea when we moved here to Okinawa. He was ecstatic, as you can tell by his face. He's been a water rat ever since. George got totally splashed by his kicking once his feet hit he water...that would have been a priceless face shot as well had I got it!!

I Heart Faces...I mean Feet!

This week at I ♥ Faces, the theme is feet. And while I am sure baby feet will steal this category....I decided to enter my favorite thing about feet over here in Okinawa!! The pedicures!! You have never had a pedi like one from a Japanese salon. They are meticulous about their nail art for starters, plus they give a mean leg massage. Here is my very first experience 2 years ago...and it is still my favorite design so far.

Sports In Action with Pets

I am contributing to the I ♥ faces blog entry this week. The theme is Sports and Pets. I am using a photo of the hubby running for Army Week. I must say, he was smokin' em! I love the look of determination on his face and the look of the others who are desperately trying to reach him :o) Shout out to all the Soldiers who love Sports...like my husband!!



My second entry is of our Oki Mix, Poquito. His tongue makes me smile here. He's one of those "in your face" dogs...but hey,who wouldn't want this face in your face??!!

I Heart Faces - Kids Entry

So I stumbled upon this website/blog (I ♥ faces) where they allow you to share your fave photos of the people in your life. What a concept. So as a first time enterer :o) I was drawn to the theme (BOYS)! In light of Father's Day, it asks for only boy pics...and so it was fitting to enter the photo I took just the other day of the oldest and youngest man in my life! Even though it is not a close-up of Teage's face, his look is priceless. I was following them home from the baseball field. A picture really is worth a thousand words...



I can only assume that this will become another new obsession of mine...
